CSSButton is a tool to help web professionals create, save, and share their (you guessed it) CSS buttons. It’s also a learning tool, to help people understand visually how their CSS is going to work out. Pretty sweet eh? We’re still in the beta phase, so you’ll have to be patient as we squash all the bugs. We’d love to hear feedback on your experience, feature’s you’d like to see added, all that jazz.
Why buttons?
Since CSS3 isn’t an official specification, many people use it for progressive enhancement, that is to say, giving advanced functionality (in this case style) to an advanced user base. Buttons are the perfect medium for becoming a progressive designer, as they often provide an enhancement, versus a feature that would destroy the sites integrity if it was not uniform across all browsers.
Can I make more than just buttons?
Of course! The builder will help you style just about any element you’d like to transform into CSS, however it has been tailored to buttons with pseudo classes, transitions, and more.
Who made this?
CSSButton was created, and is maintained by Caleb Ogden. You should follow him on Twitter! Also follow CSSButton for CSS news, inspiration, and updates.
